Popular Speaker Louie Giglio Joins Tour; Tomlin Releases See the Morning Tour Edition

Oct. 23 (NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Oct. 23, 2007—ASCAP Songwriter of the Year and the Gospel Music Association’s Artist of the Year, worship leader Chris Tomlin extends his highly successful “How Great Is Our God Tour” to include an additional 14 dates this fall. Speaker and author Louie Giglio again joins Tomlin, who will introduce a special tour edition of See The Morning with bonus material on Oct. 23. Ranked among Pollstar’s Top 100 Worldwide Tours, according to a 2007 mid-year report, the “How Great Is Our God Tour” was one of the hottest tickets last spring, selling out 20 events. Back by popular demand, Tomlin and Giglio reconvened earlier this month for another 14 cities through November.

Again, the tour will assemble thousands nationwide, inviting them to experience the greatness of God through its music and message. Tomlin reflects on this opportunity, “What a joy to be able to tour again this fall with a great friend and gifted speaker, Louie Giglio. I feel like what God has given us the opportunity to do together is a pretty special thing, and we go with huge expectations and excitement. We long to see God do some unbelievable things in our lives and the people who attend this tour.” As a special offering to fans of the “How Great Is Our God Tour” Tomlin will release a bonus tour edition of his 2006 project, See The Morning, Oct. 23.

In addition to the original album, this new package will include a DVD featuring live music videos recorded on tour last spring of “Let God Arise,” “How Can I Keep From Singing,” “How Great Is Our God” as well as Tomlin’s current radio single “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone),” presently at No. 2 on Radio & Records Christian Adult Contemporary Monitored chart. It will also incorporate Giglio’s “How Great Is Our God” tour message, which reminds fellow worshipers that the same God who spoke the universe into existence created each of us and knows our circumstances. The talk reminds listeners that although their life’s journey may be complicated and painful, God promises to preserve and restore us.

With five records, five No. 1 radio singles, two GRAMMY nominations, 12 Dove Awards, and one gold album to his credit, Chris Tomlin is among the most well-known and influential artists in contemporary Christian music. Referred to by Time Magazine as “the most often sung artist anywhere,” Tomlin has 17 Top 500 CCLI songs with five in the top 25. ASCAP’s 2007 Songwriter of the Year, Tomlin’s “How Great Is Our God” was his first No. 1 on the CCLI Top 25. The award- winning song moved to No. 1 after becoming one of the fasting rising modern day hymns in CCLI chart history. Tomlin is also the reigning Gospel Music Association Artist of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year two years running.

In 2007 he received nine Dove Award nominations to lead the field of artist nominees for the second consecutive year and was the most honored recipient with six awards. In addition to serving at Austin Stone Community Church (Austin, TX), the church he co-founded, Tomlin most recently released, See The Morning, in 2006. The project has been widely praised by such noteworthy publications as Billboard, CCM, All Music Guide, Worship Leader and more.

The album garnered Tomlin his first and second GRAMMY nominations for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album and Best Gospel Performance for “Made to Worship.” The record also debuted at No. 1 on the SoundScan® compiled Christian retail charts, landed Tomlin his highest Billboard Top 200 position ever at No. 15 with 47,420 units sold in its first week, and was named iTunes’ 2006 “Best Christian Album” of the year. He continues to tour many dates every year and plays regularly at Passion Conferences in the States and worldwide.

ANDREW PETERSON AND FRIENDS LAUNCH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TOUR WHICH FEATURES PETERSON’S MUSICAL BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD: THE TRUE TALL TALE OF THE COMING OF CHRIST SARA GROVES, BEBO NORMAN, JILL PHILLIPS, ANDY GULLAHORN, ANDREW OSENGA, GARETT BUELL AND OTHERS TO JOIN PETERSON FOR TOUR (NASHVILLE, TN) October 24, 2007—Prolific singer/songwriter Andrew Peterson is set to take his popular Christmas concert on the road with friends and special guests Sara Groves, Bebo Norman, Jill Phillips, Andy Gullahorn, Andrew Osenga, Garett Buell, Cason Cooley, Marcus Myers, Gabe Scott and Ben Shive for his annual Christmas tour, which features Peterson’s acclaimed Christmas musical Behold The Lamb Of God: The True Tall Tale of the Coming of Christ.

The tour begins November 27th in Elkhorn, NE, which will mark the 8th year that Peterson and friends have taken their Christmas concert on the road. Eight years ago, Peterson composed his musical rendition of the Christmas story to remind people of the holiday’s true significance. Since then, he and a small band have performed the songs each holiday season to sold-out crowds nationwide, as well as a highlighted performance in Peterson’s hometown of Nashville, TN at the famed Ryman Auditorium.

Past events have featured such artists as Alison Krauss, Phil Keaggy, Mindy Smith, Pierce Pettis, Matt Slocum and members of Nickel Creek, who have joined Peterson for an in-the-round segment of original material before gathering on stage to perform his musical, Behold the Lamb of God: The True Tall Tale of the Coming of Christ. Responding to demand from fans of his Christmas concert, in 2004, Peterson recorded the songs on an album titled Behold the Lamb of God. “It's a pretty different approach to an album,” Peterson explains. “I don't know of any Christian albums like it in that it's a concept album with a story-telling style. My foremost concern was with accurately conveying the story of Christ’s birth, and doing it as artfully as possible.” Peterson has long been known for his intricate songwriting and transparent candor on stage, often drawing comparisons to predecessor Rich Mullins.

While signed to Watershed/Essential Records from 1999 to early 2004, Peterson recorded three national releases including his award-winning Carried Along, which featured the top ten radio single, “Nothing to Say.” His latest project, The Far Country released in August of 2005. Peterson is also set to release his new album Resurrection Letters in the spring of 2008. KEVIN MAX AND JOANNE CASH TO PERFORM Print E-mail

KEVIN MAX AND JOANNE CASH TO PERFORM AT JOHNNY CASH FLOWER PICKIN' FESTIVAL NASHVILLE, TENN.) -- This November, Starkville, Mississippi will hold its first annual Johnny Cash Flower Pickin’ Festival, featuring a symbolic posthumous pardon to Cash, and a line-up of musicians closely associated with the late singer and American icon. The event will be held November 2-4, 2007, and will feature performances by Joanne Cash and Kevin Max, as well as Marty Stuart & the Fabulous Superlatives and others. Johnny Cash fans from around the world are expected to participate in a fascinating part of the Cash story–his experience at the "Starkville City Jail" and his lifelong story of redemption. Johnny Cash was arrested in Starkville, Mississippi, on May 11, 1965, for public drunkeness following a performance at Mississippi State University. He wrote the song, “Starkville City Jail,” and performed it at his legendary San Quentin State Prison concert on Feb. 24, 1969.

Cash played at MSU again in 1970 and gave many of the officers involved with his arrest front row tickets to the performance. The Starkville community decided that it's time to formally recognize the depth and humanity of the Man in Black. As a result, the city of Starkville will issue a posthumous pardon to Cash. Kathy Cash Tittle, the second oldest of the four Cash daughters, will accept the pardon on her father's behalf during the pardoning ceremony on November 3rd. The pardon doesn’t suggest that anyone condoned Cash’s behavior.

It symbolically recognizes Cash as an imperfect human who made mistakes but gained insight and wisdom by learning from his indiscretions. It’s not about Johnny Cash getting arrested; it’s about what his life symbolized to so many people — that no matter what happens in life, you can redeem yourself. The festival will close with a Redemption Service on Sunday, November 4th at 10:00am, featuring performances by Kevin Max and Johnny Cash’s sister, Joanne Cash, singing gospel music that Johnny Cash enjoyed.

The service will be held at Lee Hall Auditorium on the MSU campus, and is free to the public. For more information on the Johnny Cash Flower Pickin’ Festival, visit the official website at www.pardonjohnnycash.com. About Kevin Max: As one-third of dcTalk, Kevin Max has sold over 8 million records worldwide, won four Grammy Awards, and had a Top 40 pop hit with “Just Between You and Me,” which also received significant airplay on VH1 and MTV. Max returns December 26th with his latest solo album, The Blood - A very personal project that allowed him to step back from his usual rock stylings in favor of a musical exploration of Gospel.

This deliberate departure features high profile collaborations with an extraordinary cast, including Vince Gill, Amy Grant, American Idol finalist Chris Sligh, Joanne Cash, Erica Campbell of Mary Mary and a long-anticipated reunion of dcTalk (featuring Max, Michael Tait and TobyMac). For more information, visit www.kevinmax.com and www.myspace.com/kevinmaxtheblood.

About Joanne Cash: With twenty-seven historic recordings under her belt, the acclaimed autobiography My Fears Are Gone, continuous concert appearances and lineage to one of music’s most famous families, Joanne Cash has countless tales to tell. But more than artistic accolades, her slew of collaborations with brother Johnny Cash and having spent several years working at the historic House of Cash hit making factory, the singer/songwriter extraordinaire is driven by a deeper sense of eternal purpose. With her husband Harry Yates, she founded Nashville's Cowboy Church, and earlier this year released her latest album, Gospel, which features three previously unreleased duets with her famous brother Johnny.
