KIM HILL, AND PHIL KEAGGY ON COMPASSION PARTERSHIP TOUR.

NOVEMBER-DECEMBER CONCERTS PLANNED

(Nashville, Tennessee) –September 21, 2006 -- In a year that has found Wayne Watson returning to major visibility with an ambitious schedule of  career commitments in contemporary Christian music, Christmas will hold yet another special gift for audiences.

The Home For Christmas Tour, to be presented with ministry partner Compassion International, will feature Wayne Watson along with fellow artists Kim Hill and Phil Keaggy on a schedule of more than a dozen dates between November 24th and December 16th.

“Christmas is a very special time to me. To have the opportunity to be reaching audiences on a stage with both Kim Hill and Phil Keaggy, as well as getting to deliver the timely message of Compassion sponsorship, is all I need in the way of a gift this year,” noted Watson.

The tour will encompass church and auditorium settings with exact details on dates and venues currently being finalized, noted Andrew Patton of Patton House  Entertainment , producer of the concert series with Compassion.

“Compassion is committed to this tour as a major element of our 2006 Christmas outreach with live concert sponsorships,” noted the organization’s Artist Relations spokesman, Spence Smith, who was instrumental in this year bringing Watson into the Compassion family of artists.  “This tour is a perfect partnership of artists and timing in getting the message out there.”

A multi-Dove and Grammy nominated artist with 23 #1 Christian radio singles to his credit, Wayne Watson has been recognized as a cornerstone artist in contemporary Christian music since breaking into national attention in 1980. Acclaimed as a songwriter of remarkable depth and relevancy, Watson recently re-launched a full-time commitment to his music career.  He recently returned from a Compassion mission tour to Bolivia.

Kim Hill is also a multi-Dove winner and Grammy nominee whose distinctive voice has successfully crossed genres from Christian rock to worship, establishing her as an essential artist, singer, and songwriter whose depth of ministry in music has touched millions.  Her recently released, critically acclaimed Christmas album, Real Christmas is expected to provide a central background to her featured set on the tour.

Legendary guitarist, Grammy nominee and multi-Dove winner Phil Keaggy has a career spanning more than 30 years and 50 solo album releases.  Co-founder of the 70’s power group, Glass Harp, his unique career  has merged the influences of rock, blues and jazz with the technologies of electronic “looping,” to create a  signature guitar sound that has become a Keaggy trademark.

Compassion International exists as a Christian child’s advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty through Christian training and sponsorship. Compassion is currently assisting more than 770,000 children in more than 20 countries around the world.

Exact scheduling of cities and venues to be reached by the Home For Christmas Tour are expected to be announced within the next two weeks.
