NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Long known as a multi-platinum selling artist in country
music, Travis Tritt is now finding success in R&B alongside a music
legend. Tritt, a two-time Grammy winner for Best Country Collaboration with
Vocals, has let his rhythm and blues influences show a little more in recent
years. In 2002, Tritt and Ray Charles collaborated for a one-hour music special
CMT Crossroads. He is now working with American Idol’s Randy Jackson, to
co-produce his new album set to hit the shelves next summer on Category 5
Records.
Tritt’s newest R&B flavored style can be heard on Sam Moore’s new
album, Overnight Sensational, which has been met with rave reviews. Tritt
and the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Famer recorded “Riding Thumb” and will perform it
on CBS’ Late Late Show w/ Craig Ferguson on December 4th. Can we say
Grammy potential???
“I was thrilled to get a chance to work with Sam on
his album,” Tritt said. “I’ve always loved R&B, and I’ve always admired
Sam’s work.”
