Hank Williams Jr. Added to the Performance Line-up

Presenters for the Live Broadcast to Include Melissa Peterman, Miranda Lambert, Paula Deen, Rodney Carrington and Ron White


NASHVILLE – April 3, 2007 – CMT announces even more celebrities who will be making the trek to Music City for the 2007 CMT MUSIC AWARDS, airing live from Nashville’s Curb Event Center at Belmont University on Monday, April 16 at 8:00 p.m., ET.* Hank Williams Jr. has been added to the burgeoning list of performers; and Melissa Peterman (“Reba”,“CMT Comedy Stage”), Miranda Lambert, celebrity chef Paula Deen and comedians Rodney Carrington and Ron White will present at CMT’s sixth annual awards show.

The previously announced list of performers includes Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, a special performance by Keith Urban from Australia, Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland, Toby Keith and Bon Jovi. The previously announced presenters include Barbara Mandrell, Jason Aldean, Josh Turner, Kellie Pickler, LeAnn Rimes, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Taylor Swift. Voting is currently underway at CMT.com to determine the night’s big winners as well as the “Flatt Out Fan Favorite,” the song that Rascal Flatts will perform to open the broadcast. The final nominees for Video of the Year will be announced at the beginning of the show, and fans can vote at CMT.com, as well as via mobile phone, throughout the live broadcast (ET/CT only) to determine the final award of the night.

The 2007 CMT MUSIC AWARDS is produced by Audrey Morrissey and Camouflage Films, Inc. Sarah Brock is the executive producer for CMT.
