Hollywood's Biggest Night is Finally Here Print E-mail

Across Hollywood stars are gearing up for Hollywood's biggest night the 77th Annual Academy Awards®.

Prop Oscars® are placed on the red carpet at the Kodak Theatre Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, in preparation for the 77th Academy Awards®, which will be broadcast live on Sunday, February 27, 2005, by the ABC Television Network beginning at 8 p.m. EST / 5 p.m. PST with a half hour arrival segment.
The show this year is being hosted by comedian Chris Rock Imagewho has never hosted the telecast before and has been said to be very excited to be included along the likes of Steve Martin, David Letterman, Johnny Carson, Whoopee Goldberg, and the legendary Billy Crystal. The list of presenters include: Drew Barrymore, Halle Berry, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom,Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, Penélope Cruz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kristen Dunst, Salma Hayek, Dustin Hoffman, Mike Myers, Al Pacino, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sean Penn, Natalie Portman, Prince, Tim Robbins, Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, John Travolta, Robin Williams, Kate Winslet, Renée Zellweger, Ziyi Zhang, Annette Bening, Pierce Brosnan, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jeremy Irons, Samuel L. Jackson, Laura Linney, Emmy Rossum, Adam Sandler and Barbra Streisand. Performers include: Antonio Banderas and Carlos Santana performing the nominated song "Al Otro Lado Del Rio" from "The Motorcycle Diaries."Beyoncé and Josh Groban performing "Believe" from "The Polar Express." Beyoncé also will perform "Look to Your Path" from "Les Choristes" accompanied by the American Boyschoir and "Learn to Be Lonely" from "The Phantom of the Opera."Counting Crows who will perform their best song nomination "Accidentally In Love" from "Shrek 2" The 77th Annual Academy Awards® Presentation will be broadcast live from the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland® by the ABC Television Network, beginning at 5:00 p.m., PT with a network arrivals show.
