Epic recording artists Quietdrive are heading out on their first ever national headline tour. The dates run October 25th - November 21st, and are presented by Pure Volume. Check out their exclusive tour video blog here.
The first leg will start at The House of Bricks in Des Moines, Iowa, and take the band east and south, then wrap up in the midwest. A second leg will reach the west coast in December. These dates will bring to a close the 2 and 1/2 year non-stop touring cycle for the Minneapolis rock act. Beginning in early 2007, Quietdrive will return to the studio and work on their forthcoming album.
The Rise From The Ashes Tour will see Quietdrive perform a mix of new material as well as fan favorites from their debut album When All That's Left Is You, which includes their mega popular cover of the Cyndi Lauper classic "Time After Time". Joining them on tour will be My American Heart, Just Surrender, and House of Fools.
While working on new material for their sophomore album and touring the country, the guys have made sure to find quality time to spend with their fans. They will be visiting high schools in various cities and talking to classes about careers, dreams, and goals.
Riding the wave of success, Quietdrive have been sitting pretty on the top 10 iTunes alternative chart and garnering massive radio play nation wide. Quietdrive fans have streamed the bands music a staggering 5.7 million times to date via their MySpace page. The Los Angeles times hailed the bands music as "spit polished guitars and soaring choruses" while Entertainment Weekly gushed about the "bouncy riffs with plenty of whoas".
Dubbed as "A Band You Need to Know" by Alternative Press, Quietdrive have played over 450 shows since the release of When All That's Left Is You in May 2006. Full Story . |
