This documentary recounts the tragic story of Donald Crowhurst, the owner of a marine-electronics business, who, in 1968, attempted to go on the first solo, nonstop, round-the-world boat race. While taking on such a momentous task earns Crowhurst a small measure of fame, the actual race turns into a terrible disaster.
