(NASHVILLE, TENN.) -- Gospel icon Joanne Cash will be featured in two episodes of the popular RFD-TV series Turnin' to Country starting this weekend. RFD-TV sent cameras to Starkville, Mississippi last November to cover the first annual Johnny Cash Flower Pickin’ Festival, which featured a symbolic posthumous pardon to Cash, and a line-up of musicians closely associated with the late singer and American icon, including Joanne Cash, Kevin Max and Marty Stuart & the Fabulous Superlatives.
There was so much footage from the event that series producers decided to expand the coverage to two full episodes. Part One will air on Friday, February 16 at 12:00pm and 10:00pm CT, and Saturday, February 17 at 9:00am CT. Part Two will air on Friday, February 23 at 12:00pm and 10:00pm CT, and Saturday, February 24 at 9:00am CT. RFD-TV airs on DirecTV (Channel 379), DishNet (Channel 231) and numerous Comcast Cable systems. Reruns will air in May.
Cash continues to perform and tour in support of Gospel, with weekly appearances at the Nashville Cowboy Church, which she co-founded with her husband Pastor Harry Yates, and Tuesday night concerts at the Wyndham Resort in Nashville. She has kept busy with media appearances in recent months, including national television appearances such as Style Network's top-rated series Split Ends, Babbie's House, 100 Huntley Street, The Jim Bakker Show, deeperLiving, The Dino Show and more. She's also been heard on nationally syndicated radio programs such as Bulldog & the Rude Awakening, Midnight Jamboree, Mancow's Morning Madhouse and Elvis Radio (Sirius Channel 13). Cash has been featured in dozens of magazines and newspapers, including features in Country Weekly Magazine, CCM Magazine, Today's Christian, The Tennessean, The Daily Journal and many others.
Gospel was released by ACME Music Group, and is distributed by Infinity Music Distribution (USA) and ICC Records/Go Global Entertainment (UK). The album is available in stores now, including all WalMart and Family Christian Stores.
