Hank Cochran Releases "You Wouldn't Know Love" To International Radio March 1 |

Nashville, TN (February 27, 2008) - Legendary singer/songwriter Hank Cochran releases his classic, "You Wouldn't Know Love," to international radio on March 1 from his CD, LIVIN' FOR A SONG (2002). "I've always loved this song," Cochran says. "I wrote it with Dave Kirby in 1969. I remember he pulled up and got out of his car, and we started right in on it. It was one of those songs that just falls out at you. We knew we had a good thing going."
The song proved to be a "good thing" indeed. A hit for Ray Price, "You Wouldn't Know Love," was the title track of Price's watershed Columbia Records' album released in 1970, which brought true orchestration to country music for the very first time. "And Ray just sang it to death," says Cochran. "My cut's a little different than his, but I like to believe that folks will like it, 'cause I sing it just like we wrote it."
Fans the world over have loved Cochran's songs since the early 1960s. George Strait and Elvis Costello have recorded his material, along with Elvis, Waylon Jennings, Linda Ronstadt, Wayne Newton, LeAnn Rimes and many more. Now, Hank's fans can hear one of his favorite songs - his way.
