Few artists have impacted rock music and society more than John Lennon. Seattle’s legendary Crocodile Café and Roseta Productions LLC will host the John Lennon Jam at 9pm on December 8th 2005, the 25th anniversary of his death. The show features a specially assembled “Jam” band of Seattle musicians and special guest artists to perform John Lennon’s Beatles and solo music.
SEATTLE, Wash. November 24, 2005 – Few artists have impacted rock music and society more than John Lennon. Seattle’s legendary Crocodile Café and Roseta Productions LLC will host the John Lennon Jam at 9pm on December 8th 2005, the 25th anniversary of his death. Proceeds will benefit Northwest Harvest and the Seattle stage production of (Just Like) Starting Over. This play is largely based upon an unpublished interview with John and Yoko granted hours before he was tragically killed. Seattle Public Theater plans to stage the production at the Bathhouse on Greenlake in September 2006. Special guest artists include: Alan White (legendary drummer for Yes, John Lennon), Michael Maker (The Makers), Jared Clifton & Richard Davidson (The Radio Nationals), Travis Bracht (Second Coming), Ron Nine (Love Battery, Down with People), Kelli Hanson, and more to be announced on myspace.com/johnlennonjam.
The “Jam” band is fronted by Rick Lovrovich (bass, vocals) of the The Beatniks. Other members include: Jakael Tristram of Hit Explosion (lead guitar, vocals), Jon Bolton (drums, vocals) of the Beatniks, Gary Lanz (rhythm guitar, vocals), and Johnny Jones (keyboards, vocals).
Original artwork for the John Lennon Jam poster has been hand created by world famous artist Chris Hopkins, and posters will be available for sale at the show.
