Skyla Spencer's Christian country release, "If I Were Rain", can be heard in the new 9-11 documentary, Moving On From 9/11 - the Story of James M. Kristan. A screening of Moving On From 9/11 is being held in New York City on Friday, May 5. "If I Were Rain" was released to radio in 2005.

When asked how she describes her music, Skyla replies “I would describe my music as up-lifting and energetic, with a unique sound. I love a sense of humor, and that shows through on some of my songs. Some of the songs on this album are from real life experiences, but it’s through these experiences, either good or bad, that have made me stronger. This album is dedicated to all the people I have lost in my life, and to all the troops who have died fighting for our country.”
