One of the most talked about films, United 93, opened on April 28th. The drama is the horrifying tale of what happened on that awful September 11 day. It is the story of passengers who decided they weren't going to sit back and let the terrorists win. While some people have said it is far too soon for this film, this film has been very well made and is a film every American should see. In a AMC feature, Director Paul Greengrass who also directed The Bourne Supremacy and Bloody Sunday says that the events of 9/11 had a huge effect on people and that he would always want to make a film about it. He said what he found when he visited the families to talk to them and ask them about making the film at this time that the families of the victims of Flight 93 want this film made. Lyzbeth Glick wife of Jeremy Glick a passenger on Flight 93 says in the feature that she wants people to know that Jeremy was a man who went to work every day, loved his family, and didn't treat the day as if it was his last day. This film is powerful and as you watch you realize what the people went through. While the film has been receiving rave reviews, critics are also saying it's too soon for a film of this nature. In some places theaters have pulled the trailer saying it's too much for the country at this time. Either way the film has been made and the story has been told. Much different from the story we see on A&E about Flight 93. This story is detailed and graphic. But this story and the lives effected by the tragedy of this horrific event need to be told. Here is what well known critics are saying about this film: “I wish this movie had been out two or three years ago.” Rush Limbaugh “An extraordinary film. The best movie so far this year.” - Ebert & Roeper “I believe it is just about every American's duty to see this film.” - Dennis Prager For more information on the film visit united93movie.com
